The data collection is provided with a battery-powered measuring device, equipped with GPS and radio modules, which is attached to the wagon. At regular intervals, the device counts the distance between the actual position determined using GPS and the last measured position. This distance is added to the temporary distance counter. Once the measuring device comes within range of the radio signal of the reading device, it transmits the data to the server. The server performs calculations, stores data, and displays the total mileage.
It has two interfaces: the application interface for inputting messages from individual readout points and the web user interface. The web interface displays all known wagons, their total mileage, last known positions, and date and time of the last record. The autonomy feature includes the detection and recognition of people, guns, suspicious behaviour, and abandoned luggage inside the train set.
