Including vehicle radio stations and base radio stations, the TRS system provides voice communication between the controller, station dispatcher, and engine driver. Operating in the 450 MHz band, the TRS system complies with the UIC 751-3, covering approximately 5,000 km of railways within the Czech Republic.

The system includes FFSK modulation for the transmission of telegrams and other digital and diagnostic information and features auto-diagnostics of the whole system. Additionally, the TRS system offers a general selection of a controller or station dispatcher for all mobile devices, enabling communication with all parties involved in the operation, transmitting routine command reports, selective locomotive calls, and remote addressed STOP.
