Monitoring System

1030/1090 SIMON

  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of interrogations and replies in the 1030/1090 MHz band.
  • Evaluation of key interrogation parameters, IC, PRF, and antenna radiation pattern.
  • Determination of the load of a specified on-board responder.
  • Real-time warnings based on pre-defined triggers.
  • Trend analyses and reports with history.

The SIMON Monitoring System ensures the security of the 1030/1090 MHz frequency band, which is shared by A/C/S radars, multilateration, ADS-B and IFF modes 1, 2, 3. The system enables continuous monitoring and evaluation of interrogations and replies concerning potential anomalies. All key interrogation parameters, such as interrogator code (IC), pulse repetition frequency (PRF), and antenna radiation pattern are evaluated, and a load of a specified on-board responder is determined.

The system provides warnings in real time based on pre-defined triggers, determines sources polluting the RF band, and offers analyses of trends and reports with history. The system ensures a high standard of air traffic safety by maintaining the security of the 1030/1090 MHz frequency band.
